Entry Level to Management Opportunities Available

The Claims, REO, and Property Preservation Department is responsible for filing claims for mortgage insurance and advance reimbursement for loans that have completed foreclosure sale. Claims are filed with FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and all major PMI companies. The Department handles property preservation and maintenance to comply with all investor requirements and local building codes. The Department also offers REO marketing and management as an optional client service.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Make recommendations to investors for maintaining and disposing of REO properties
  • Manages, markets, and maintains company held REO properties until sold
  • Calculates loss projections on REO properties and maintains special ledgers for adequate reserves
  • Review appraisals and market analyses
  • Recommends a listing price on company REO properties to the Servicing manager; obtains approval from investors and managers and when required, lists properties for sale
  • Negotiates sales contracts where required
  • Sets up and coordinates closings with title companies
  • Processes and distributes sale proceeds, when required
  • Prepares and transmits copies of case files to investors when applicable
  • Monitor cases where the client or investor is responsible for the marketing of the property
  • Actively works REO reports and updates REO workstations with all related information
  • All other duties assigned by Department Mgmt.

Job Requirements



Job requirements:

  • High school diploma required, college helpful
  • Intermediate PC skills; Word and Excel any Loan Servicing programs a plus
  • ENTRY LEVEL POSITION Real estate office (not sales) experience helpful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; self motivated; team player
