Job Description


Assist the manager in the supervision, direction, and development of the employees in their daily functions. To review and recommend to the manager procedures for streamlining and improving the daily functions of the department. To ensure that the foreclosure, bankruptcy, and support services process is followed within time limits according to the requirements of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, PMI, state, and investors. To recommend and assist disciplinary actions towards employees. To prepare and provide the manager with the daily and monthly status reports of departmental activity. To correspond with clients and governing agencies. Directly responsible for Supervisors and for staff members.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversee and guide the workflow of the quality assurance and reporting team members. Monitor and supervise employees.
  • Direct and review the work of staff; to ensure compliance with agency, investor, state and federal laws and company requirements.
  • Reviews monthly productivity reports for the department; Monitor reports, task tracking, and exception reports to ensure accurate servicing of all loans.
  • Responsible for timely responses to all internal and external audits, compliance reviews and presidential issues.
  • Provide weekly reports and monthly summaries to senior management highlighting accomplishments, performance standards and measurements, status of open items, and staffing requirements.
  • Recommend and implement process improvement strategies.
  • Interview, hire, train, and mentor new employees.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and track employee performance against standards.
  • Prepare and administer annual performance evaluations for all employees.
  • Coach, counsel, and coordinate corrective action, when applicable.
  • Conduct regular supervisory and all staff meetings to ensure open communication.
  • Handle difficult borrower complaints elevated to a manager level and provide client updates and reports when necessary.
  • Performs all other responsibilities and duties deemed necessary; Takes over the Manager's responsibilities during absence.
  • Develop and motivate the quality, audit and reporting staff to assure the proficiency of the department.
  • Assists manager to assure that the goals set within the department are met; prepares and completes performance reviews and recommends salary changes; reviews and recommends disciplinary actions of employees; assist in scheduling employee vacations and requested time away from work
  • Consult with investors, Federal Agencies, and attorneys to resolve problems.

Job Requirements

Job requirements:

  • 3 + years of supervisory or management experience; 3 + years of mortgage servicing; Quality assurance, collection/foreclosure background and foreclosure, bankruptcy claims and reporting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of foreclosure, bankruptcy including legal docs, claim and REO functions; PC skills; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); mortgage servicing software.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; time management skills; professional demeanor and leadership qualities; strong figure aptitude.
  • Microsoft office, excellent organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, flexibility important.
